CARBON

At The Long Run Club, our commitment from the start has been to produce fashion that respects both people and the environment. We’ve partnered with industry experts to accurately calculate and offset the CO2 emissions of our products.

Our CO2 calculations were created in accordance with the ISO 14040 and ISO 14044 standards. These are the leading international standards on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), covering the process of performing an LCA, from defining the scope and goal and inventory analysis to assessing the impact and interpreting the data.

Every customer receives a free bespoke Impact certificate that illustrates the difference they have made by choosing ethical teamwear over a standard offering and the total amount of carbon we have offset on their behalf.

Understanding Our CO2 Footprint

Calculating the ecological footprint is specific to each product. The material procurement and pre-processing stage contribute to almost 90% of total emissions. Thus, it's crucial for brands to source raw materials responsibly. At The Long Run Club, we ensure our materials come from certified suppliers and are of premium quality.

However, calculating emissions is just the beginning. Our goal is to continually optimise production processes, reduce emissions, and offset those that are unavoidable, making our products completely climate-neutral.

We offset emissions by GoldStandard. Established by WWF to ensure that projects featured the highest levels of environmental integrity and contributed to sustainable development.

Transparency is key to sustainability. We encourage consumers to use independent platforms like Goodonyou to verify that a brand’s sustainable practices are genuine and not mere greenwashing.
